I'm new to ENDEVOR. Previousy I used Changeman. In Changeman we can view the source code of one program in two ways:

1) Either go to Changeman and browse the components.
2) Take the source library of that package and go to ISPF dataset list option and open in view or browse mode.

In Endevor can we use the second option? If so what is the source code library of one program?.

Regards,
Bipin Peter

Bipinpeter,
You can retrieve them to your (Existing)PDS and view/browse them.

some sites will provide an ISPF PDS for certain elements.
you can find these in the environment display under user options.

best would be to talk to your support people.

It's always recommended to browse elements through Endevor rather through pds.

but if you want to EDIT, then you always can retrieve it to your pds and can proceed.

but if you want to see the elements residing state of pds for any type like cob..

on main panel Endevor. 1.(Display). 7 (Type) you can see type definition panel in browse mode where you can see BASE/DELTA library ..where your elements resides..But it depends up on site whether those could be VSAM or PDS. If it's pds you can see them , it it's VSAM you support team wants all lobs to look their modules through Endevor only.

Srini, In my shop it is in VSAM files. But if you display an element in Endevor its getting source code from some lobrary right. ANy clue to find out that library? How endevor is opening that component in display from the place where it is stored?
