Hi,
I have been zipping some datasets for FTP and came across this question.
The sysin looks like:
ACTION=GZIP
MODE=TEXT
IFILE=DSN/ABC.DEF.GHJ;FILE1.TXT
ARCHIVE=DSN/ABC.DEF.GHJ.ZIP
Can anyone please explain what the FILE1.TXT part does to archiving? We are not accessing this anywhere later. We are FTP'ng ABC.DEF.GHJ.ZIP
Thanks and Regards. |

My guess is that FILE1.TXT is the name of the file that you're storing within the zip archive. So, when the remote site has received the zip file ABC.DEF.GHJ.ZIP and then decompresses it, FILE1.TXT is the filename that the archive is decompressed to. |
