File Control Table Entries

HI.
Actually we have increased the length of the key of vsam file to 2 bytes.In Online we are using this vsam file.do we require to change the File Control Table Entries.

Please reply me ASAP.

need not to change the FCT entries.

i think similar type of questions have been asked in this forum already.

Do you mean "by 2 bytes"?
IIRC, something about function shipping and not having to specify key length requires the key length in the FCT to be accurate......

yeah increased from 28 to 30 bytes... r u sure that FCT entry should be changed?

RESP2 values: 26
The KEYLENGTH option is specified (but the GENERIC option is not specified), and the specified length does not equal the length defined for the data set to which this file refers.
