Visual Explain 8.0 - Install Help

Hi,
I am trying to install IBM Visual Explain 8.0 in my pc. I have Db2 client v 9.1. But I am getting error
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\IBM\DB2\DB2 Path Name not found.
Please install DB2Connect PE, DB2Connect EE, or CAE first."

Though error message says DB2 connect, according to my local admin support group, both (Db2 client and Db2 connect) are same!!. But I am not able to install VE 8.0.
Have anyone have this installed in their PCs? Can someone help.

Any pointers will be of great help.

Just for curiosity and I did a bit of research
db2 client and db2 connect ( PE or EE ) are not the same thing

and I trust more the message from visual explain installation than human judgement
