I don't know what LC is supposed to do, but if you use the LISTCAT (LISTC) command, it does tell you the attributes:

Code:

GDG BASE ------ HLQ.GDG
     IN-CAT --- CATALOG.USERS4.UCAT
     HISTORY
        DATASET-OWNER----ME     CREATION--------2009.064
        RELEASE----------------2     LAST ALTER------2009.064
      ATTRIBUTES
        LIMIT------------------3     NOSCRATCH        NOEMPTY
      ASSOCIATIONS
        NONVSAM--HLQ.GDG.G0002V00
        NONVSAM--HLQ.GDG.G0003V00
        NONVSAM--HLQ.GDG.G0004V00
    NONVSAM ---- HLQ.GDG.G0002V00
...

Hi,

As asked what is LC? Who advised to use it? Simple & straight approach is to use IDCAMS LISTCAT as suggested by Kevin . . .
