They are two completely independant products, RACF (IBM) and TOP SECRET (CA).
You will need to contact CA for details as they do not readily allow access to their documentation. RACF should be available on the IBM web site. |

Both are security applications. RACF is IBM, TOP Secret is 3rd party.
try googling. I am sure the sales propaganda from TOP Secret will elaborate the details. |

What is it that you actually want to know? Why has the question come up? What would you do with "the difference(s)"?
If you ask comething more clear, you will probably get more usable answers. |

They are a much alike set of products, and in my opinion it is not the product being used that defines the security environment, it is the polices in place to protect data that really matters. |

Typically, the site has determined which to use already and there's no choice about it. Sites sometimes convert from one to the other but it's not very common to have multiple security products running. |

Unlike database systems, utilities, or programming languages, system security is not "pick and choose". As Robert mentoned, the security product decision hs already been made for most systems.
I've been places that used different security systems on different lpars, but do not recall having more than one security product active on a given lpar. |
