Determine the latest GDG version created

I need to determine the latest GDG version created given only the GDG base. Is there a way of doing it using a batch job.

am not getting what u trying to ask... yeah will create the gdg version by using base name only...
so whats ur question ... if this isnot pls give in detail...

I have the GDG base and there are a number of versions which are present... i want to find out the latest gdg version created....Could you please let em know how to do the same.....

any mode is acceptable, preferably background mode

Ok, these are the two methods:
Foreground ways:
1) go to 3.4 request and put your gdgbase with (0) at the end then press enter.
2) go to 3.4 and put as requet only the gdgbasename, press enter, and after put near the name of the gdgbase the command LISTCA so you can press another Enter.
3) in each screen of ispf digit TSO LISTCA and press enter. At the following request insert your gdgbasename
