Can a alphanumeric data of 100 bytes compressed and encrypted to 40 bytes of alphanumeric variable?

Maybe, depending on the algorithm used for the compression, and which method of encryption is being used.

compressed ... depends on the bits patterns
encrypted ... no ( encryption standards do not deal with compression )
