Hello,

Is anyone else unhappy with the new and extremely loud commercial for iPhone that is played with all too much regularity?

My speakers are almost on, but at a low volume. When this ad is selected to "play", the sound blares.

If we cannot get rid of the ad, can the content be modified to reduce the volume?

Thank you,

d

I haven't seen the ad yet, but if you see it again, you could right-click and select properties. Then highlight the link (it's probably verrrrry long...grin) and copy it.....

The ad seems to be country specific and we are working on that...

Hi Bill,

No, unfortunately, i can't. . . icon_sad.gif The "usual" right-click options are not there. When the ad is 'moused-over" the link does not appear at the bottom-left of the window either.

Right-click gives:
Zoom In
Zoom Out
Show All
- - -
Quality
- - -
Print
- - -
Settings (greyed out)
About Adobe Flash Player

rather than the "normal" options.

The "munged" link is in the attachment. . .

If the link you have provided is correct, it will not show up again. Let me know the status.

Hello,

It still happens. FWIW - The graphic in the ad changes/rotates.

This is the url of the page where one "winds up". It is not the first page launched (which goes by more quickly than i can trap). The first page has a url that begins with:
ad.yieldmanager.com/click,. . .munged garbage. . .

I tried to view the source for the page and that feature does not work. . .

A web search gives more than 300k hits for ad.yieldmanager - mostly telliing how to get rid of it. . .

Let me try to simulate your city. Are you in St. Louis/Montgomery?

Most often Montgomery currently.

Occasionally St Louis, DC, Cincinnati, or a few other places.

Hi Mac,

Well, the entire advertisement is no longer shown. . . At least not in many clicks so far today. Previously, it only took a dozen or so clicks for the iPhone ad to appear and be heard icon_smile.gif .

If it returns, i'll post a reply here. . .

Thanks,

d

Hi,

I believe this problem is been resolved, however, little curious to know when Mc say

even if they are; are not they controlled by sites and the web-site should get paid for such advertisments?

No, they are controlled and targeted by Google, but we can allow/block a specific ad in the site.

Hello,

Well, the i-phone commercial went away, but we seem to have a replacement (another treat from the folks adyield).

Please make this one go away like was done with the i-phone commercial.

Thanks,

d

Please provide me the complete adyield link.

Are you getting any video ads or just flash ads?

Well, i'm not sure i suspect they are flash. There are some ads that do not "stay in the ad area" and expand to take over a large portion of the screen.

If there any way for me to "opt out" for the advertisements - i'll never click on one intentionally anyway. If not all of them, maybe just everything from adyield? Since these ads have become more common, i've had different problems with one of my systems. . .

Something surely appears to have changed tonight. . .

There are many more of these ads that "take over" the page and interefere with using the system.

Hopefully, This will be corrected quickly icon_cry.gif
