Are you getting any video ads or just flash ads?

Well, i'm not sure i suspect they are flash. There are some ads that do not "stay in the ad area" and expand to take over a large portion of the screen.
Some are actual video when clicked. . .

Something surely appears to have changed tonight. . .

There are many more of these ads that "take over" the page and interefere with using the system.

Hopefully, This will be corrected quickly icon_cry.gif

Not a bad idea. Have you seen the number of issues relating to IE8 at aumha.net? icon_sad.gif

Hello,

This not only continues, but is getting worse. . .

Now, some of the "ads" launch additonal windows that are not easy to close. . . I also have reason to believe that some of them are adding malware to the system.

Sorry, but i can't give the full urls because they change too fast to see/record and i've not been able to stop them "in flight". They include things beginning with:
"ads.quixsurf. . ."
"adyieldmanager. . ."
"a.tribalfusion. . ."
"ox.arcade. . ."
and quite a few others. The ads (not counting the improperly launched additonal pages) take longer to load than the entire topic.

Replacing the obnoxious iPhone audio are several new ones including the "Contratulations, you've won a Nintendo Wii" at high volume.

Thank you,

d

Hi Mac,

I'll be on the road for the next few days, but will try to capture some screenshots when i return.

If i'm able to log in over the weekend, it will be on a 56k connection - yuk.

Thanks,

d

Hi Mac,

Back on a "real" connection icon_smile.gif

Attached is a word doc that has some screenshots of the ads.

Noticed something while using the dial-up connection. The (audio / graphic) commercials are not presented on the dial-up line - only text advertisements are displayed.
