Hi,
i have coded a rexx program to copy tape file to a temp file. Its working fine for small files with 25000-50000 records. But for large files its taking time.....i want the tool to get execute within seconds.....
can somebody help me out with the issue?????  |

do not use rexx
for straight copy
use the IEBGENER replacement provided by Your sort product
it would be something in the style ICEGENER or SYNGENER
for additional processing/reformatting
search the JCL/DFSORT forums for hints
post the name of the sort product used and I' lll move the topic to the proer place |
