I want to change the job name after submitted the job.
B'cos JES2 is not allowing me to submit with the actual job name and i'm using my tso id as a job name.
But it is very difficult for me to see the spool ref. for a particular job as everyday we submit 100s of jobs.
Please help me if there is any way. |

You can not change anything once the job has been submitted, except for JES objects, such as priority, and even then only if you are authorised.
Why on earth would you want to change the jobname ? |

when you submit the job, capture the job number.

and why is that? is there a site exit written for SUBMIT that insures only jobs containing valid tso id's are submitted?
what exactly is the return of the submit command - where it tells you that you can't submit with the actual job name? |

Will it be a hint?
$HASP165 --> Application Programmer Response: In the case of SECURITY VIOLATION, verify the user id, group id, and password used, if any. |

Hello,
Suggest you talk with you system support and/or security admins to learn if there is an alternative to using only your userid in the jobname. Many systems allow userid+ as well as some "controlled" jobnames. This would be site-specific, so you will need to investigate locally. |
