Hi Friends,
Need a favor. I am unable to delete few datasets.
Datasets show a member next to them like
abc.def.ghi(mem1)
no option is working. Please guide me how to delete these type of datasets
When I take del next to it, i get following error:
IDC0548I ** MEMBER MEM1 NOT DELETED
Please help in resolving this.
2) if I list a user with TSO LU user1
the password interval shows as 254. this started recently. earlier it was set to 30.
Is there a way to change it to 30. Any idea what could be the problem and how it changed?
Any help on this would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Please help |

Have you tried DELETE NVR for (1)
And are you the security administrator to be able to make RACF changes. |

1) I have tried DELETE NVR, but when I do that, it says Invalid dataset Name.
Also when I take delete I also set IKJ56228I error message.
2) Yes. I tried option to set in RACF.
Under Set password control options in RACF, under Interval, I tried setting it to 30. But it did not work.
Is there anything else need to be done after setting there? |

Mmmmmmmm, vaguely recall a similar situation in my dark and distant past.
Other possibilities......
1) IEHPROGM - which may leave the entry in the VVDS - but a minor problem
2) Use AMASPZAP (or ask your friendly sysprogs to do this) to change the VTOC entry to a valid DSN and then delete using NVR - same error scenario as above
3) Clean down the volume and reinitialise it - drastic but effective. |
