Hi all,
In the SPOOL, after purging the jobs it is not removed from the spool. It is listed in the ST panel. But previously, it was removed and not listed from the spool.
I hope that Cold start of JES2 will solve this. Same time, Please provide your suggestion on what could be the modification needed to be done without Cold start the JES2.

If it was removed - it would be gone. Jobs do not "return" to the spool after being purged.

If there is some spool archive software in use, the output may have been re-queued for some reason.

Hi,

maybe not all output was written to the same output class, ie. MSGCLASS=X and SYSOUT=A, by purging just one of the classes, ST will allow you to still see all of the output.

Hi,

Does it happen for all the jobs? Does it happen to your RACF ID only at your shop?

Unless a SYSOUT has FREE=CLOSE, pointers are kept in JES for all of a job's SYSOUTs until the final piece is purged.

As Gerry said, you see them all in the STatus panel even when they are gone from the Output panel.

Thank you for all of your inputs. I issued $O J command for some of the jobs which are completed( but not issued for the purge command before $OJ command), then I issued Purge command, it is working fine for these jobs alone. Jobs are pruged and removed from JES2.

Hi Dick scherrer,
We are not using any softwares like this. Please suggest me that Is there any other way I can determine the cause?

Hi gcicchet,
I am unable to check for the puged jobs since it shows JCT not available even it is listed in ST ( actually, that is the problem).
I checked for other jobs, it is like you mentioned ie., MSGCLASS=X,CLASS=A and in some jobs, it is mentioned SYSOUT=B or D .

Hi Anuj D,
It happens for all jobs not any userid or site specific.

Hi Bill Dennis,
Could you please provide more information about FREE=CLOSE for the SYSOUT since I did not use this parameter ? and also
please mention how to remove these present entries from JES2.

Thanks in advance.
