Hi All,
I have a BMP to update IMS DB segments. I take checkpoint after regular intervals. I used xpediter to Test my BMP. Then i made the program to abend after taking 5 checkpoints. the Program abended as expected. When i tried to restart the Program in xpediter by including RESTART=LAST in the exec of JCl , I found that the restart save area is only spaces . Hence the program didnt restart. Its starting processing from the beginning. The status code of the checkpoint and restart call are all spaces. There is no info to identify the problem.

Can anybody explain what is the problem in that.
Is that anything i forgot to include.

Hope the problem is clearly explained.

Thanks ,
Roja

Have you tried running it outside of expediter? When you save the key, are you getting it from the key feedback area?

Are you certain that Xpediter retrieved the JCL with the RESTART=LAST statement or did it reuse your original JCL?

I think Xpediter didnt picked up the Checkpoint ID to restart the Program.
So i ran the program through JCl and it worked.

Thanks Guys for spending your time.
