Hi,
Please help me with a JCL which can be used for unloading data from a db2 table into a dataset(as a backup).
And also a JCL which can be used for loading back the data into the db2 table from the backup created earlier.

The best people to ask is your DB2 people, as they will have the standard JCL along with all of the site specific details.
Also, the DBA's may also have a specific product to perform backup / recovery processing which is faster and better than standard utilities.. |

Hello,
Suggest you talk with the dbas and have them show you how to perform and imagecopy backup and how to reload from the backup into the table.
Not everyone has the permissions granted to backup/restore. . . |

your DBA's are the right people to contact. There might be standards specific to your shop, they should be having model JCLs.
Thanks,

Rahul,
I can suggest one thing. Search with DSNTIUL against production JCLs and PROCs. Somewhere definately you will find the solution for your problem.
Still If you dont find then I will provide the JCLs to You. |
