Hi,
I have a requirement to migrate data from prod table to dev table using a backup imagecopy. I tried 2 approached but both of them failed:
1. I tried Recover in dev table from imagecopy, but I got the error 'the recovery does not permit DSNUM(ALL) recovery'. This table is a non-partitioned table. What option should I use?
2. I also tried doing a Unload from imagecopy (giving PARM in the job for Dev DB2 system), but it returns error that 'content of imagecopy dataset are inconsistent with Dev tablespace'.
Any help with either of these method would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rohin |

As it is nonpartioned, try to recover by removing DSNUM parameter. |

I forgot to add, I did not have DSNUM parameter in my sysin card. I think it picked DSNUM(ALL) by default. |

Do you have access to production, if you do. You can unload from the prod backup image copy. You are unloading from production image copy give production sub-system ID in the JOB not development.
Unload it as a sequential file and Load it in the development and give the Development sub-system id.

Hi,
My experience differs a little here - I could not load the data from my "normal load jobs" I had to get in touch with my DBA who provided me with other JCL which did the trick - might be getting in contact with them cn help.. |

Hi DB2 Guy,
Saw ur post on the Copying Prod table to Dev Environment. You had told that your DBA gave a different JCl/card which solved your case. Can you let me know what changes did the DBA do to the card? Did they change the Object ID? What other changes?
Regards,
