Hi -
Could anybody tell me how to access the SMF and RMF data? Where all these informations are stored? Do we need some tools to extract the information?

SMF data is stored in a file with a name that is specific to your site; you must contact your site systems support people to find out what that name is. Usually the SMF data is dumped at regular intervals into a holding file and then moved to tape at some point. These names are also site specific and not available from a forum. The dump program is IFASMFDP; usually something like MXG or MICS is used to extract information from SMF records as their structure is quite complex and there are more than 100 types of records just from IBM. SAS, Assembler, or PL/I would be used to extract data since SMF records specify values down to bits, which COBOL cannot handle directly.
