I have to browse an vsam file in online at the same time update the vsam file. how to use share option in CICS? Please brief

You should use shareoptions = (2,3) at the time of VSAM cluster creation.

This will not allow you to update the vsam file in a batch job, if cics
has the file open

either use shareoption (4) -- not recommended
or

close the file in cics while your batch update is running.

or
invest in some vendor software >> try www.batchcics.com
