Could you please help me to find which storage devices are available in the mainframe and which is the best one among them? |

In response to your PM.
You need to contact the vendors to see what they have on offer
IBM, STORAGETEK, HDS, EMC
Each different manufacturer offers different things, and at different prices.
Do you want RAID1, RAID5, RAID6. What cache size do you want for VS and NVS. FASTWRITE or NOFASTWRITE. What internal response time do you need. How much capacity is required. How much redundancy do you need.
So many questions that only the manufacturers can answer for you when you let them know your requirements. Doing an RFP is not just about contacting vendors, but contacting them with highly specific information such as the examples above. |

The most important part of the task is to identify what you need and what direction you are gong. Only then can you have a discussion with vendors about which of their products will do what you need.
Keep in mind that they will sell you anything you want to buy, so the burden of selection is yours. |
