Hi,
While taking the dump of datasets, an error is occured for few Non-VSAM datasets.Message code is ADR703E and Statement of error is missing NVR.
After testing using IDCAMS DIAGNOSE with comparision of Catalog entry & VVDS,it is showing the following,
IDC01379I NO VVDS ENTRY FOR DSCB NAME dsname...
I need few clarrification listed below,
(1) Is there any ways to create NVR entry without deleting the current since there is no backup of this dataset as it has no NVR entry while taking the backup?
(2) Is it possible to define this dataset with RECATALOG? - but I have tried this too, it is still not working.
Kindly provide your inputs to proceed further. |

| Usually a PHYSICAL DFdss dump and restore resolves this problem. |

Thank you for your reply expat. It is working fine.
I have done taking the Physical Dump, Deleted the NVR entry for old dataset and Restored the Dumped datasets.
I have another query, while renaming few datasets, it is giving the following messages,
IEC614I RENAME FAILED - RC 008, DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION IS (0406001E),

DEVY23,A205829.EXEC |
