Is there any function in COBOL which tells what is the day today.
For Example: if today if SATURDAY, The cobol function displays SATURDAY |

Or even simpler: ACCEPT weekday-number FROM DAY-OF-WEEK. You'll need a table of week days to convert weekday-number to a name. |

Yup, as long as there is not a requirement that the function actually return the word for the day. . .
