Hi,
Can we get all the GDG generations present in a range.
For example, if i want to search a string in the GDG, between the generations 100 and 200, is there any way, that i can use a JCL to search the generations between 100 and 200, without specifying all the generations from 100 to 200? |

So how will your program / utility know that you only want between 100 & 200 unless you tell it so ? |

Hi Expat,
In the JCL, i want to specify the end limits, I mean the generations A.B.C.G0100V00 and A.B.C.G0200V00. Is there any utility, which automatically considers all the generations present between these two generations? |

Not that I know of. This sounds a specific task that would require a user written program or REXX.
DFSORT should do it also. |
