Hello,

What is Extra software. . .

What kind of macro are you asking about?

Is Extra some termiinal emulator?

For someone here to help you need to post a proper question with proper background information. . . . icon_confused.gif

Extra is a terminal emulator that has it's macro language that runs on the user's PC. The last time I used it the manuals were included with the software.

Hello,

In addition to external documentation, all of the terminal emulators i've used that have their own macro support have documentation built into the help system too. . .

Hi...it is very easy to use macros in EXTRA.

open any any screen(cics screens mostly used for macros).

follow the below steps...

1) go to Macro->Record->save the screen names as .qmc file
2) then open for the recording
3) go through the screen and fill the screen with appropriate fields
4) stop recording

now you can ready to use the macro next time for the same screen...

hope this will give enough to you
