How to transfer the Job output to a .Txt file.

But job output is not backed up in data set

Hello,

Change the job to create the output into a delimited file on the mainframe (the tab character (x'05') works well). Rerun the job.

FTP the delimited file to the target system.

Import into excel.

or
Copy the file to disk from the spool (look for XDC in the forum).

Once the file is copied to dasd, FTP the file to the target.

Import the file into excel - it may or may not be easy to use.

Please help me to understand, what this text is telling us ? Did you mean that output is being written to SYSOUT/SYSPRINT & that "output" should be imported to notepad.
