I am getting this display when I type v save
IKJ56500I COMMAND VSAVE NOT FOUND
How to correct the problem? |

That is neither an ISPF command, a TSO command, or an ISPF EDIT command. |

VSAVE is an ISPF EDIT macro it is used to save a member in VIEW mode
I am not able to use that |

From view mode in ISPF this(from the manual) is the message that you will see:

SAVE primary command. When you enter the SAVE command, ISPF issues a message that you must use the CREATE command to save any data you have changed |
I think, but I'm also sure, that in view mode you can only REPLACE or CREATE and nothing else. |

VSAVE is an Edit macro from Gilbert Saint-flour. It uses REPLACE to save the dataset which edited in the view mode.
Check the cbttape for more details. You can download it and XMIT to mainfrme.

Hi
Generally in most shop VSAVE if used is activated in test environment. But in production env if u use it yo will get the same error msg. |
