Hi,

I am getting an ASPR abend in my CICS applicatuion program. My application was running fine previously but from yesterday it started giving me ASPR abend . I didn't made any changes in the program. Please tell me how to resolve this issue. If you can tell me what all is required to be done than that will be really great as I don't have support team for this, though I have access to all the regions.

Thanks,

You didn' t make any changes to the program,
somebody else made changes to the environment

did You read the manual for the meaning of the ASPR abend ?

don' t You feel that is a weird situation,
relying on forum support for production issues

what changed since the last time the program ran without problems ??
we do not have the tools to find out, You do

if You go to the manual for cics messages
publibz.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr_OS390/BOOKS/DFHG4C00/CCONTENTS?SHELF=DFHASJ00&DN=GC34-6827-00&DT=20070614214024
and search for aspr
You will find 4 hits and in them there are many hints on what to look for
( expecially the first and the last one)

Hello,

How many others have this access as well?

If you have no "support team", could any of these people made some change? How do you keep track of who is changing things (most likely something was changed that caused your abend)?

HUH? makes no sense, every Mainframe environment I have seen,
always has a Technical Support team.

If you really don't have support, then you should tell to your
Manager that you can't resolve problem without some technical assistance.

Hi,

I was able to resolve this issue. I was calling stored procedure into my program which are having some insert statements in them due too which I was not able to commit and hence there was syncpoint issues. But I removed those insert statements and its working fine now.

Thanks for your help.

glad You found a <SOLUTION>

but that' s rather a workaround ,
it contradicts Your previous posts that everything used to work and nohing had changed..

unless You imply that the stored procedure was changed in the meanwhile ??

it' is still worth to investigate the environment changes
