U3303 IMS abend

Hi,

One of my job is failing with U3303 abend.

I got the following descriptions from abend-aid.

o The application program tried to use a database that was not available for access or update, or both. Message DFS3303I is issued in conjunction with this condition.

o A "read any" request was rejected because an I/O Toleration extended error queue element (EEQE) exists for the control interval (CI) specified in message DFS2524I. For this condition, message DFS2524I is
issued in conjunction with abend U3303.

o A /START, /STOP, or /DBRECOVERY database command was issued against a full-function database referenced by a Fast Path application.

o A DB/2 subsystem, that was connected to IMS, is shutting down and IFPs are waiting in the BALG with access to the DB/2 resource. IMS handles this situation in the same manner as it would if a /DBR command were issued.

But not sure what is the actual issue can how it can be rectified.

Can anyone please help me with this.

Hi,

The support says it is some DB issue.
But not sure how to resolve it.

Any suggestions please.

Hi,

Please post the complete diagnostic information from the abneded JOB.

The abended job is an BMP job, since the DBs might be down , it abended with U3303 , once the DBs are up, you can do a check point restart it will go fine. If this happens on a regular basis change the schedule to run your job in differrent timings.
