When we do do JEM before submitting the JCL from where it gives the error and all validations? Sometimes it gives storage problem which means it also acquire some space in library...Many of us have no idea about the details of JEM. so if anyone of you know about its working please throw some light on it. |

Hello,
JEM is just another program. Not unlike one of your programs or even the compiler. Your programs use business data as input. The compiler uses source code as input.
JEM and other jcl checkers happen to use your jcl as "input". The "rules" of jcl are understood by the code. When a violation of the rules is detected, an error is presented - much like your program when it detects an error in the user input and presents an error to the user. |

Hi,
You might like to search the member, JEM, under ISRDDN, that would provide you little more insight about what Dick has said. At my shop it's in common ISPCLIB library, XXXX.COMMON.ISPCLIB. |
