whether we can able browse a file which is stored on an tape.

Hi Karthik,

I hope we can using fileaid. click the option fro browse. give the filename and enter. Correct me if i am wrong.

Only if your TSO session allows users to have tape mount authority (this would be extremely rare).

Hi karthik,

As mentioned by Superk, most of us will be denied of tape mount authority. So copy file on tape to DASD (Direct Access Storage Device) and enjoy browsing..
