whether we can able browse a file which is stored on an tape.

I hope we can using fileaid. click the option fro browse. give the filename and enter. Correct me if i am wrong. |

Only if your TSO session allows users to have tape mount authority (this would be extremely rare). |

Hi karthik,
As mentioned by Superk, most of us will be denied of tape mount authority. So copy file on tape to DASD (Direct Access Storage Device) and enjoy browsing..
