trigger a batch process

i need to trigger a mainframe batch process and can you suggest me any tool or application to do that .i know about quartz but as far as i have researched , quartz is a jar file and it can only be used in a java environement .
but i am in search of some application which supprots vbscript for triggering a batch process.

if by triggering You mean submit to jes a job residing on Your WS
look into using FTP,
there is a freeware application called ftp2jes ( IIRC ) which provides a gui for it
