Hi,
As in REFLIST we find the 30 latest datasets refferred.
But it also includes the files which are deleted.
Do we have any settings such that the files which are deleted are not stored in the REFLIST.
Another thing i want to know is case like -
1. I LOGGED into mainframe. Found datasets A in REFLIST.
2. Browsed dataset B. REFLIST updated to contain A and B.
3. The mainframe is logged off automatically after a particular time since it is not used.
4. The REFLIST which is seen after Re-LOGIN contains dataset A only.
Do mainframe store the REFLIST when we LOGIN. If yes, what is the location. |

The time out causes an abend so any data in storage and not yet written to the appropriate place will be lost. That is why dataset B does not always appear. |

Try using NRETRIEV. It uses REFLISTs and can filter out files that don't exist. |
