I don't know about CICS but need to Shutdown and Restart it... when I try doing that I get an error
"RESPONSE=MAA +DFHAC2032 CICSABC2 CICS autoinstall for console UAABCDE RESPONSE=has failed. "
I read somewhere that I need to define CONSOLE... I know I can shutdown cics from CEMT and then start again...but everytime its not possible... so Can someone please letme know the command which will define CONSOLE or solve this problem so that I may not get this msg again while shutting it down...and I needn't login to cics and go to CEMT to perform shutdown... |

it would be better to use a more significant title when posting
most of the people who have the knowledge to answer will usually skip topics with irrelevant titles
or simply reply ....
Hi to You too !

Can you kill it from a console session via EJES or SDSF? That wouldn't require any CICS console support. |

The CICS region stops quite nicely with a console STOP command, and a JES start command starts it back up quite nicely. We do this all the time and never have a problem either with the commands or the CICS region.
Also, what is your support group going to say when a region starts bouncing without their input? They may have SLAs to meet that could be impacted by this. You may need to escalate the issue but your support group really needs to be involved to some degree. |

Why do you need to do this? Is this your own personal cics?
At many locations, developers are not permitted to cycle cics regions (imho, a very good idea). |
