Hi Team,
Can anyone please help me out on this.
In our shop JCl ,they mentioned like below in JCL
SYSOUT = 8
what does sysout =8 mean and where it will go if we specify "8" in sysout.
Correct me if i am wong.

Go talk to your systems programmers, it is they that decide whatever about sysout classes.
This is purely site specific. |

Hi,
This is just otner SYSOUT class, follow the suggestion from Expat to get the actual meaning of this at your shop.
Usually these type of classes are meant for Printers. |

Ravi,
That link points to a JCL Standards document published by someone at the University of California at Santa Barbara and contains a lot of site specific stuff. It would be much wiser to refer to the JCL Reference Manual at this bulletin board (see IBM Manuals at the top of the screen). |
