Hi!
I am trying to use SUPERC to compare 85:86 field in old file to the same field(85:86) in the new file.
CMPCOLN 85:87
Doesnt give me the difference between the 2 fields?
How do i go about this?
Thanks! |

Hi Shilpa
If you are using File Aid SuperC option , then give 'Line' in option 'Compare Type'. Then in the main menu option , go to the 'Edit Statements' section type the following 'CMPCOLM 85:87 '. I tested the same and it's working fine. May be you are using 'File Compare' instead of 'Line compare' that is why it's not working. |

First you mentioned 85:86 then later, 85:87. Which is it? Also, I think I've usually specified the DELTA compare, not the LINE compare. I don't have access to a mainframe, so you'll need to test this yourself. |

Sorry it's a typing mistake.
It's ISPF 3.13 only that i am referring and not 'File Aid' . |
