Hi there,
I know, If the recycle option is enabled during the Secondary Space Management it will recycle the tapes which holds minimul amount of data
The following command is used to identify the volume serials which are eligible for recycle if it holds only 30 percentage of the data.
F DFHSM,RECYCLE DISPLAY ML2 PERCENTVAILD(30)
It lists 100s of volume serials which are eligible for the recycle.
Problem
Its really tedious for tape operation people, because it asks for the tape volumes to be mounted manually which are not the ACS
Is there a way to identify the volumes which will be recycled for the day?
For sure...your suggesion will reduce a set people's overhead... |

Yes, you are correct.
As stated in the link, during the RECYCLE two types of lists will be generated as 'PULL LIST' and 'MOUNT LIST'.
PULL LIST will consist of all the eligible volumes
MOUNT LIST will consist of the tapes to be mounted.
Mount lists aid tape operators with the mounting order of tapes that are being recycled.
My question is how to get the MOUNT LIST? |

since You verified that no tape mount is issued, i
t should not be a big effort to issue one DISPLAY and one VERIFY to see what happens |

Okay, let me try with VERIFY.
Because, I already tried to DISPLAY it shows only PULL LIST (the list of eligible volume serials which are eligible for RECYCLE) |
