my production cics produces short on storage above 16MB.
but i can't see the system dump.because i saw in system log
as follows:
"system dump WAS SUPPRESSED BY THE GLOBAL SYSTEM DUMP SUPPRESSION".
who can know how to make system dump not be SUPPRESSED? |

Talk to your CICS systems support person -- they should be able to set it up to allow one dump and then suppress the rest. |

If your production cics produces short on storage, you got
other problems besides dump suppression.
dump suppression is normally on to prevent SYSTEM stalls
and potential systems crashes.
I doubt your systems support will turn off dump suppression
in a production region.[/quote] |

Get a STAT run to determine which storage pool is having the problem. I'm surprised the CICS systems programmer is not already investigating why the S-O-S is occurring; since these conditions can have severe repercussions to both the region and the entire system, I investigate them very thoroughly when I see one. What is the task causing the S-O-S doing? |
