Hi ayyappa,

I think the number you have specified is for number of steps a single job.
As far as number of dd statements in a step is concerned I believe the number is 3273.
But then I never used these many steps or ddnames in a job/step.

Anyone please correct me if I am wrong.

regards,
David.

Try to search in the manual:
In DD Statement Description and Syntax:
http://publibz.boulder.ibm.com/cgi-bin/bookmgr_OS390/handheld/Connected/BOOKS/IEA1B640/12.1.1?SHELF=&DT=20000718114500&CASE=
