I am trying to check COMP-3 Variable like,

X s9(7)v99 COMP-3.

IF X > 0 ----------> i m getting abend her
do.
NEXT
end.
ELSE

What abend? Telling us "it broke" provides nothing for us to use to help you.

Perhaps your X field has invalid/non-numeric data. If it is in a file, look at the file in hex (tso/ispf - browse - HEX ON).
