In UNISYS there is a command HI INTURRUPT which will allow operator to stop the program during run time and find some statistics (counter) and display the same. Can we do this in CICS or Batch (COBOL,C).

Not sure what statistics you are looking for...

You may get what you want by using SDSF and using the DA option. It will display info about paging, I/O, CPU%, etc... This is done from TSO and ISPF; the system operator may not have ability to use it.

You may also get some information by using RMFMON command from TSO. It shows various statistics. Again, the system operator may not have the ability to use it.

I should add that both SDSF and RMFMON work asynchronously from the task you are displaying. In your example, CICS or batch job, would not be stopped.

I do not know CICS, but it likely has some DISPLAY or QUERY command to display some operational information.

You can use the STAT transaction, if authorized, to capture statistics -- but they are for the CICS region, not showing what one transaction is doing.
