What is the RETURN CODE RC=99 or RC=80

Hi what is the RC=99 or RC=80. I know this is resolved when special character from input file is deleted., or again input file is again ftpied.

How this special return code like 1,80 or 99 problem with infile is resolved without affecting input file.

I think that this various return codes are forced by programmer and I think that for a better solution we need first, from you, the program name that produce these errors.
At the moment sounds like rexx program but I wait your answer.
