Hi,
How can I get the cost a migrated dataset is incuring for maintenance. We are using TSO HLIST command to get the details of migrated datasets. We are getting the tracks information out of it.
Is there any specific guideline we can use so that we can convert the tracks used by migrated datasets to get $ value for maintaining it monthly.
I hope I have used the right section of the forums to post this query.
Thanks for the help.

What about differeing charge back for ML1 & ML2 ?
I can recall using something like ...........
(% of a tape used by this dataset / cost of the tape) / expected lifespan of tape in months. |

Cost generally depends on the chargeback system, so you really need to discuss this with your chargeback people. Some sites do chargeback, some do not so there is no universal answer on cost of a resource. |

Exactly, the example that I have given was the one that was decided on by the bean counters where I was last employed as a capacity / performance / charge back / general dogsbody |
