How does HSEND Q CDS give the output, I mean what does it consider I trieD dividing the used rba's by allocated RBA which worked well for other VSAM CATALOG utilizATION bot not in all cases for hsend q cds(mcds, bcds, ocds).

Your problem is not clear. Please expalin in more detail with examples of your output.

The HSM CDS files are simply VSAM files, so what you do for other VSAM files and are happy with should yield the same results for the CDS files too.

When I hit hit HSEND q CDS in tso it gives me the percent utilization of MCDS,BCDS,OCDS which is different from when I try to calculate the size of them by using there CSAM files URBA/allocated RBA.
FOR Instance.

From hsend q cds in tso.
ARC0148I OCDS TOTAL SPACE=753840 K-BYTES, CURRENTLY ABOUT 42% FULL, WARNING
ARC0148I (CONT.) THRESHOLD=90%, TOTAL FREESPACE=96%, EA=NO, CANDIDATE VOLUMES=0
ARC0948I OCDS INDEX TOTAL SPACE=0002142 K-BYTES, CURRENTLY ABOUT 042% FULL,

But when we divide the used RBA's by Allocated RBA's it says ( 40, 40) for OCDS,in some lpar's it difFers by a much huger amount.

Aaaaaaah, yes, the VSAM statistics are only updated after a successful close, so any space changes caused by insert / delete / ci or ca splits will not be reflected in the VSAM stats until all of the HSM's within the plex have been closed cleanly.

You can not do it easily - it is always sent to the HSM syslog. It is one of the commands that you can not use ODS with.
