Hi,
Points to be noted:
- GDGs are nothing but QSAM (sequential files) when it comes to processing.
- TAPE whether used for GDG or for QSAM they can not be "browsed right away" ( B on command prompt)
Now, you need to get the Tape file on DASD to read it. Search the forum for "tape", you might get some useful links, such as

Did you not search the forum and find out that you have to copy it to DASD to browse the data.
Creating a GDS is no different for either DASD or tape, just that a tape doesn't need a space parameter. |
