Q1) How to find the LOC (lines of codes of the elements) for all the programs without individually finding?
Using the report feature in Endevor you can get number of lines of code/programs based on a system level/type level.
Try with report 02 by giving system and type , you do receive number of elements in that type with number of statements in each program under that type.
2) How to retrieve a CICS screen from endeavor
You can retrieve a CICS screen from Endevor as you do the same process to retrieve for COBOL program. Endevor doesn't matter whether it CICS or cobol or rexx or sas code. Only the processor group defined to that type matters. Endevor is just a repository which it trace every action and loads in MCF file for future references.
3) If you retrieve a program do you need to retrieve the copybooks also or they come along automatically?
If you want to change the copybook also along with the program then you need to retrieve otherwise you don't need to retrieve copybooks. (Most of the site installations will have tree structure to pick copybooks from different copy libraries)
4. Is it possible to do testing in Endevor?
Yes, we can do testing in Endevor
5) Is there any library to see the user-id?
Go in to Endevor, Master display panel and you can see USER ID and what action they done, when they done etc...all the details.
6) When Footprint error occurs?
Footprint error might occur in Endevor: 1) when we had given the wrong processor group for a element and you have created a package and trying to cast it. 2) Or it might also occur due to some mismatches in the element type while creating a package. |

to find lines of code in any environment/system for type in Endevor run a report #2 (i.e) System inventory summary
in the output, you can find total statement sits based on the given condition.
hope it clears you doubt |
