Hi All,
As my organization is starting off its Mainframe Softwares Services wing,we are assigned for creating a ground work,as part of the assigned task,I would require help from you guys on creating a generalized coding standard document which would state all the coding standards mandate for programs(cobol, cics, vsam and db2).
So if you all guys can share any document on coding standards from your present organization, that would be of great help.

regards

Hi,

Such standards would vary shop to shop, you should request such documents from your clients..

PS. Posting e-mail ID is against forum rules because they increase the threat for spams, please avoid using them in your posts..

i just retested the search

search 1 "coding standards cobol" returns about 60000 hits

search 2 "coding +standards +cobol" returns about 36000 hits

its up to You to wander thru them to find the right info
.... what You look for is there

just a casual pick

If your organization does not yet have a client or any standards, it may be a good step to "team" with an organization that already has both.

If you collect some unrelated "standards" from various places they will not sell well to a prospective client. When the prospective client asks for examples of systems work that was done following these standards, what will they be shown?
