Folks,
I have set a field with the NUM attribute, but I could enter alpha chars on it. Then I tried to set the field with the PIC attribute ('999'). SO I had both attributes set and I could still enter alpha chars.
Any idea? |

That's not unusual. Even with real 3270 terminals NUM didn't work. It required an extra cost special feature, and even then the user could override it. PICIN and PICOUT have no affect on the terminal. |

Thanks for the feedback!
Funny thing that our Natural programs run ok. This is one of the few Cobol programs that we have and we found out this 'bug'. |
