how to bring up a new IMS subsytem

i am new to IMS..i have this task at hand...can you please tell me how i should go about it...
which manuals i should refer??

Hello and welcome to the forums,

I'd suggest you talk with the dba.

If no dba is available, then talk with the system programmers for guidance on how this is done on your system.

Select the right version, then read the sections for 'Planning for IMS' and 'Installing IMS'.

Eventually, you will get to an ISPF dialog called the 'IMS Installation Verification Program', which walks you through numerous steps.
