Hi,

you really don't expect an answer on the information or lack of information you have provided.

Hi,

you need to provide the JES log output as well, my guess is the dataset filled up and you have a space abend.

Hi,

Well, with the information in hand so far, I would guess-

- You try to use REPRO command To copy VSAM clusters, alternate indexes, catalogs and non-vsam data sets.

- it failed and then search on IGD17162I tells: During creation of SMS-managed data set dsname, SMS VTOC data set services called compression services to determine whether the compression attribute is warranted. Compression services indicated that the data set characteristics did not satisfy compression criteria.

Would suggest you to tell us -

- what do yo want to do ?
- what JCL was used, please post the code. Hopefully you will get better replies..

Hi,

This is what I found from the manual.

Quote:
These messages are produced when you are expecting a
compressed allocation but, because the data set does not meet the compression
requirements, it is not compressed. The system, however, does not fail the
allocation because the data set did not compress; instead, the data set has been
allocated in the extended format (VSAM KSDS can only have 1 stripe).

Thanks,
Arun

sowmya,
The message you showed was from the JCL section, not from the JESLOG. What messages are in the JESLOG?

You ran out of space.

For more complete info, use the IEC030I message number and look in the MVS System Messages available via the "IBM Manuals" link at the top of the page.
