Hi,

Is there a way to find out whether a temporary file is empty or not using JCL?

Thanks,
Cheers,
avalanches.

Seems to me that you would use the same process as a cataloged dataset:

We have here in T-Systems a program developed to check this... and you can choose the condition code to be emitted in case of empty file... It helps a lot! I'll check if I can give you the Cobol code...
